As a present Georgetown student I'm probably one of those "really, anal, aggressive, humorless people."
But like I said, I really enjoy law school - and this includes the reading. One thing is to pick courses that interest you rather than what you "are supposed to take." The other is to maintain a sense of humor and an appreciation for the ridiculous. Many decisions are ridiculous. I remember one case where the majority and dissent both pulled out a dictionary from 1803 and argued over which definition was more popular at the time.
Maintaining a sense of humor will help out in law school, in interviews, personal life and your career - whether legal or not. |

If you have a sense of humor, then obviously you don't fall into the category of "really anal, aggressive, humorless people," right?
I think you and I both know what kind of people I'm talking about. I don't think you're not part of the problem (that is, unless you're indeed a podium-rusher).
