Tee hee - gurdonark, you are dating yourself - at least in NY and CA, the bar exam results are posted on the web. People know long before they ever get the letter in the mail.

Of course, the www did not exist when I got out of law school, and everyone was using the internet with 1200 and 2400 baud modems. I remember when it was considered a big deal that they had a place you could call for advance word, and
though I didn't take the Arkansas bar, I vaguely remember that the results came out in the newspaper, but you called the local reporter just before midnight
to get the advance word from the article just before it went to press.
I love being a dinosaur in my own time.
