That sounds a little vague to me. I'm not sure how much these letters count to begin with, and it may be awkward to ask your prof for a second draft, but I don't think this version will carry much weight. My boss wrote one with a section of comparison to other employees he's had which came off pretty well (provided you compare favorably). Generally sounds like this one is lacking details. Good luck. |

LOR's really don't matter unless they are negative or unbelieveably positive... i.e. the foremost geometer in the country explains that you have the best grasp of complex geometric ideas of any undergraduate he/she has ever taught, or something like that.
Even then, that would only make a difference if your numbers were on the brink.
