One of philosophy professor sent me a copy of the letter of recommendation yesterday.
I am not sure whether this letter is strong.
I need your second-opinion.
He said,
X frequently contributed to class discussion.blah blah blah...
X has a interesting views on the Mill's(Philsopher) philosophical theory.
Then he said...,
X will continue to be a helpful contributor to clss discussion.

He doesn't say anything about your intelligence, your personality as a student or intellect. All he comments on are your views on Mill and participation in class. I would not call it a strong recommendation, but it is not a 'bad' recommendation.
