Sorry to answer a question with a question, but here goes. Does LSDAS score
you downward (e.g., award you a zero for it, pulling down your average)for the incomplete? If so, then you have a dilemma. If not, and we are only talking about the lack of the marginal GPA increase that an extra A would provide, then it's a small dilemma.
Are we talking about your
GPA going from 3.6 to 3.5 because the incompletes are counted as "fails", or are we talking merely a 3.6 does not go to a 3.61 because you don't get the incremental advantage of an additional grade?

Depends on the kind of incomplete, because some schools have two - IP (incomplete passing) and IF (incomplete failing).
LSDAS just ignores IPs, but I think they will average an IF as an "F".
Mine is an IP - so it means right now my gpa is a 3.85 (because the IP is unaveraged completely), once the IP changes to an "A" my GPA will be a 3.86.
My larger concerns are (A) does this somehow dilute the power of the letter of rec coming from the prof that gave me the IP and (B) since I took incompletes at the end of undergrad (for completely different reasons) does this look like a bad pattern in my academic career?
Thanks.
