My parent's 2 friends are the dean of admissions to two of the top 15 law schools in the US. They told me that law school admissions are going to be up by 22% this year and expected to rise another 3% next year. All the schools know this, and with this information, they are going to be looking above what they look for in the past years. Its best to take 2 years off. |

Look, if you really want to go to law school and you really want to practice law someday, don't put off applying for this year. Especially in this economy, there ain't a helluva lot to do for two years. If you're one of those people that wants to "discover" themselves and needs to hike through the mountains of Tibet to do so, then take time off. If you want law school than don't worry about an increase in applications.
