In Reply To: I don't know what the difference between the alumni and on campus interviews is, but I've heard that what NU law looks for people who really want to attend Northwestern. I went to NU undergrad and knew a few people who ended up at the law school and that's what all of them said. If you sound enthusiastic about NU and make it clear that it's at the top of your list (even if it isn't), you will score some points in the admissions office. I doubt the questions would be that much of a departure from most admissions interviews--what are your goals, why are you qualified, what unique qualities do you bring to NU law, that kind of stuff. Hope this helps.
Message: I'm an undergrad at Northwestern. I think it helps to understand how Northwestern (inclusig the law school) sees itself. Northwestern sometimes sees itself as a world class institution that doesn't get the recognition that it thinks it deserves (and it hates being a safety school for Harvard applicants). The law school is no exception. The law school wants to be aligned more with the likes of the Columbia, NYU, and Chicago than with the likes of Texas and UCLA. Given that, Northwestern applicants (at least undergrad) that strongly indicate their interest in Northwestern receive a fair boost in the admissions process.
