I currently live in Wisconsin. For a number of reasons including health, dislike of snow and cold, and because I want to see the sun more than <100 days per year, I want to go southwest.
Where should I go to law school? In Arizona, I've noticed both Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. In Texas, I've noticed the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor [among others]. I wasn't impressed with the New Mexico school or the Nevada school.
Any advice? I graduated from a state school here in Wisconsin with a 3.47 to get a BBA in General Management. LSAT score will be known 06/30; I'm expecting between 145-160. (Big gap, I know.)
Any advice? Should I move from Wisconsin to Arizona, get residency, and then apply? Should I do this in Texas? Or, should I stay put, go to UW-Madison or Marquette University, or...?
Any advice on the number of schools to apply to?
Thanks!

I also go to UW, and I know I need to get out of the midwest for a while. All I know is that you should get out of WI for a while. If you dont do good on your lsat, dont just default to Marquette. There are plenty of other schools with lsat ranges similar to that of Marquette, like Pepperdine for example. Pepperdine is in Malibu, CA, which is alot nicer than downtown Milwaukee. And if you do good enough to get into UW, you can get into a bunch of schools as well, such as USC, Baylor, Arizona, etc. Plus, you can always return to Wisconsin. If you are set on AZ law schools, definitely get residency because it will save you some money, and you will be a shoe in. I hope that helps!!
