Hopes for Admission with Unappealing Scores??? |

I know that I want to pursue law school, but my GPA and practice LSATs have been not so appealing. My GPA is just a 3.0, and my last two practice LSAT scores have been 152 (I seem to get around 60% - 66% on two of three types of question sections, and around 30% - 40% on the other). Logic games still seem to be my weakness, but Kaplan is helping me with that.
Anyway (sorry for the digression), but here's the real question...do I still have hope to get into a decent law school such as Tier 1 or Tier 2 law school? I heard that firms like Latham Watkins look for recruits only that are in the top 50% of Tier 1 schools and top 20% in Tier 2 schools. I know that the personal essay and letters of recommendation can help for law school admission, but I don't want to rely on those. Thanks!
