In Reply To: I am a prospective applicant to an LLM (in order to take the NY Bar). Any advice would be welcome to maximise my chances of getting into NYU, Columbia, Fordham, Cardozo or even Cornell or any other worthwhile law school located in NYC. I did not get outstanding grades in university but have quite an unusual education path (I am a UK lawyer with 4 years of legal studies at the Sorbonne-Paris and a master in european business). I will probably have 3 years of experience in a corporate law firm by the time I apply. Thanks for any useful input and suggestions!
Message: I am an international lawyer too and I'll attend an LLM at Chicago (University of) starting this fall. I was admitted in the "waiting list" of Columbia. Forget to enter there if you don't have a JD in your country with full marks. Forget also Cardozo and Fordham... they don't hace any international reputation. Try instead NYU !!!(very funny too) and Cornell (quite good but quite sad... tha place is famous for the suicedes of the students !!!) But why only NYC ? What about Harvard, Chicago, Berkeley ecc. ??!! Good luck
