I had a horrible LSAT score simply due to illness last Oct. 160. What I dont understand is what occurs when I retake the test. even assuming I score mid 170s, my average will still hover around 167--the 25th percentile (if I??m lucky next year). its important to be accepted into a top 10, but what are chances (based solely on scores) in the top 3? 6?? |

If you actually did score in the 170s the second time around...very few schools will average your scores provided that you give an explanation (and maybe documentation) of your plight in October.
The test usually predicts accurate scores within 3 points up or down. If you score 165 or higher its worth mentioning your problem in October.
