I think your friend is right, with the caveat that all else equal, the Harvard undergrad will probably get the nod over the Fresno Community College undergrad. But for what it's worth, I went to a huge state university in the deep south known more for parties than for academics and I got into Mich, Chicago, and NYU, waitlisted at Stanford, "reserved"(=waitlisted) at Columbia, and only rejected at Harvard. I didn't even have a very high GPA (3.5), and I'm a pretty traditional student (22, white male, etc...). I think my high lsat score helped me out, but the name of my undergrad obviously didn't hurt me. Just my $.02... |

Can you please tell us your LSAT score?
I have a 3.5 GPA from a big ten university with a major in Economics.
But with a low LSAT score, I was rejected from all the schools in the top 15.
