In Reply To: I know most people hate legacies, but for those of us who are legacies at top schools and are willing to take all of the help they can get, does anyone know how much it matters? I realize there will probably be a lot of nasty sarcastic responses, but any helpful ones in addition would be appreciated.
Message: And if your connection is clear enough -- like child of a member of the Board of Trustees, famous family name, etc. -- and people look at your credentials, they'll recognize that you're only there because of your connections, and not your merit.
