The advatanges of the UW are that I would be in-state, which means that it would be very cheap. But I'm a little concerned about the quality of the faculty, job placement, and the overall reputation of the school. The disadvantages of Minnesota would be moving to a new city and the cold. . .but my question is, would the difference be significant enough to merit the higher tuition? |

Although UofM is a good school, it does not have the geographical advantages that would merit the higher tuition. Not only is it colder, but a jd from Minn only carries weight in the Midwest. And if you are interested in working in Chicago as an attorney, the chances of your U of M degree helping you get in are slim due to the saturation of attorneys from University of Chicago and Northwestern. My advice would just be to stay at the uw and take advanatges of the opportunites on the west coast. Hope that my advice helps!
