In Reply To: I am not the original poster who scored the 174 on the LSAT, but nonetheless, I must respond to Mr. Nanana's message. The 174 scorer posted his score. If you truly do believe you are smarter, more qualified, and in general, superior to him, you should not have compared yourself to him based on GPA. GPA among students from different universities cannot be compared, because there are different standards at different universities. However, the LSAT is scored on a uniform standard. If you truly had the qualifications with which to compare to him, you would have posted your LSAT score. The fact that you did not do so means that you have lost the argument. And if you do post your score now, all the readers of this message board would have justified suspicion that your score is fictional; otherwise you would have posted it in your first reply. You think his comments are childish? Let me quote your last posting, "nanana." Who's being childish? His attempt at convincing you how "smart/better/tougher than" you are is amusing? Perhaps the word amusing doesn't convey the whole truth. He has supported his assertion with strong arguments, while you have offered childish responses. I would say that his attempt to convince you was more than merely amusing, but also successful. It is amusing because the joke's on you, Mr. Nanana. If you fail to perceive the strength of his assertions, and have found them merely amusing, Mr. Nanana, you are either in denial, or just plain dense. You wrote "I guess your message doesn't transalte [sic] well." You guess? That was not a very good guess, Mr. Nanana.
Message: The real question, which both posters should address, is this: If either of you are on your way to "success," why do you both feel a compelling need to either tell the world about your planned success, or to disrespect other institutions of learning? I would think that the thoughts of a great education and great job would be sufficient enough without having to explain where I am from, what I have overcome, and disrespecting other peoples' majors. To the "nanana" guy, more power to you. Congratulations. But come on, the last thing this profession needs is another intelligent person who must manifest his/her insecurities by arrogance. To the other guy who disrespects public institutions: I gave you the benefit of the doubt (b/c I am not one to cry racism gratuitiously) until you had to throw the "Black Studies" or "Latino Studies" assumption. Boy, people really let their true "colors" show on these anonymous message boards, don't they? By the way, when an individual from a public institution gets to the top, no one cares that (s)he attended a public institution. I think, on the whole, the only difference becomes the significantly less amount of loans he has to pay off. Good luck to both of you.
