Getting into a Top 15 school |

I just graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Business Administration and Political Science. My final gpa was a 3.5 and I received college and University honors. I now work at a software company in the DC-Metro area, doing management consulting among other things.
I'm looking primarily at schools with good b-schools (so I can get my jd/mba). And U.Va is at the top of my list for financial reasons (Va resident). Other schools include U.Penn and Northwestern.
My problem is I'm not a good tester - didn't do too hot on my SATs (barely made 1300) and didn't do too well on my first attempt at the LSAT.
Any suggestions as to what I should do about that? I can get killer recs at a moment's notice (great profs/advisors from college). Should I just keep practicing the LSATs until I get better?
I'm absolutely confident of my abilities as a student and know that I'll do exceptionally well once I'm in law school. It's just the getting in that's my biggest challenge.
Thanks.
