Thanks!! Your advice really helped. I have no experience whatsoever in Sales. I thought of knwoing more about the products and later moving into the markeitng side. This perspective has really helped.

It is true that you would learn a lot about the products in this type of position, however, it is not very realistic to make the jump from sales to marketing at Kraft.
If you do not believe me, ask the human resources rep. who you have been talking to for evidence of people's names that have made the transition. After you get a name, then ask at what level in sales was the person at when he/she made the transition. You will likely be disappointed once you hear the truth/ Remember, HR usually only tells you the positive points of the co., and will lure you in to the co. And by the time you find out the reality of the probability of getting into marketing, it will be too late.
Instead, if you are interested in Brand Management at Kraft or another CPG co., focus on getting your MBA from a Top Tier school, and this will increase your chances of getting in dramtically.
