For people going into Georgia Pacific (in Atlanta, GA) that is now owned by Koch....or currently employed there....what is the deal with the "pay for performance" philosophy...is that ...you perfom and we don't pay...I have been at enough companies that lure you in with big bonus promises that end up short when it comes to this...is this their model? From the capital markets posts..this seems to be a theme...
Also..I read a good bit about the code of conduct and I have to say it almost sounds Orwellian...down to the right to search briefcases...is this for the corporate office or meant for the plants or ?? what..Also..it sounds like they do NOT-SO-random drug/alcohol testing from that info ...like it says.." you may be asked to submit to a test"...if they suspect you have had something to drink...What's in store for GA Pacific in terms of culture change and future compensation strategies ...any ideas? |

Lord only knows what is in store. Cutting a lot of fat in Atlanta may be a good thing and the new philosophy of letting each employee have a say and can challenge ideas is good too. But it also takes management buying into this philosophy to make it work and thus far I don't see it
