What are some entry-level EVS positions?
I'm an Econ major at a school where KPMG does not recruit, so it's hard to get any insight into what the EVS practice actually entails.
How do I know if the offices I'm contacting even have any such openings?
Does anyone have an idea of what my chances are anyway - I imagine it's far from a level playing field relative to grads from schools where they actually recruit on campus.

i dont really know what your chances are, but copied below is the posting they had on my campus. i figure it'll shed some light into the EVS entry-level position...apparently, most of the job is the transfer pricing. does ANYONE have any information about the second round?? any would be greatly appreciated!

Responsibilities:
?? Preparing and analyzing financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance
?? Performing economic and financial analysis in support of business advising and regulatory controversy
?? Valuing clients?? businesses, intangible assets, and tangible assets
?? Assisting in report preparation
?? Participating in interviews of senior client management
Qualifications:
?? Experience or coursework in economics, finance, financial statement analysis, or quantitative analysis is a plus
?? Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid research skills, and the ability to work well both autonomously and in a team environment
?? Candidates should be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics or Finance. Preferred graduation dates between May 2006-August 2006
?? Candidates are required to submit a self-produced writing sample for the interview
