KPMG is still liable for Stratecon's corporate shelters. The IRS may still inveestigate corporate shelters, and in fact is actively doing so.
KPMG has only transactional immunity; i.e., that pertaining only to the shelters specifically addressed in the DPA. |

You are absolutely correct, DPA does not cover stratecon.
However, I understand White House is concerned re a Big 3, and they want to keep KPMG alive. Ultimately, my guess is it survives but with no tax other than required for FAS 109 work.
