I agree about the fruitbasket. Mine rotted also, but Omaha steaks did offer an alternative for vegetarians. It was in the fine print. |

It's never the gift, but the thought - but if you are giving make it thoughtful for everybody.
Why not give a gift card and let people decide if they want to buy steak, tofu, or something for their doorman. Don't tell me that I have to order food.
Look at what the other firms (read: competitors) offered their folks. Ipods, Cash, an extra day of vacation, GC.
Steak (or 2 veggie alternatives) are completely insensitive - maybe the HR folks need to take those sensitivity classes.
