In Reply To: What are some cues that an interviewer is probably leaning toward NOT hiring you? My roommate said his recent interview went okay. But he feels like the interviewer (the hiring manager) may have gotten the feeling during the interview that he was not the right fit; the interview took about 25-30 minutes, after which he was given a tour of the office and introduced to the staff and even to the higher-up managers. However, he feels like he got this tour out of courtesy; to make the interview a little longer, once, he hypothesizes, the manager decided he wasn??t the right person. My friend is freaking out and becoming annoying, so my question to help him out is, does this sound like a likely scenario? Would he have been brought around the office to meet people just out of courtesy and to kill some time? Especially after the interview? And then even being brought to the senior director for a chat after his tour? He hasn??t heard back yet; it??s right around the time he??s supposed to hear back, though. Please help, so this roommate can have some peace and quiet.
Message: Did he send a thank you letter? Where was his interview? Was the interviewer from HR or a manager? Good luck to you and your friend.
