Recruiters are evil. I recently probably wound up with less money on an offer due to them pushing the negotiations process, when the person hiring me who i planned to deal with was out of the office, and them refusing to wait and pestering me 24/7. They need you to 'meet them'- bullshit, they barely screen anyway, want smart college kids to go to interviews pretending they want to be straight up secretaries and want NO growth potential just so they can make a cut. Sadly though, at least 80% of jobs are not advertised and we have to deal with these idiots. |

After reading several of the messages which criticized recruiters, I must let you know that even though there are many untrained ones out there, good recruiters do in fact exist. I have been a recruiter for ten years, and in all that time can say that I have never deceived, connived or otherwise wasted any candidate's time. Believe me, the job search is painful enough without having a duplicitous recruiter to deal with. So hopefully you may have better experiences in the future.
