I interviewed for a position several months ago and was later rejected. The company sent me a letter basically saying "we decided to make an offer to a candidate who has more experience than you, otherwise we think you are really great . . . ."
About two weeks after the letter, the company posted an advertisement for the exact same position. They are a small company and the only conclusion I can reach is that their candidate rejected their offer.
NOW WHAT? I think that I'm a really good fit for the position and would like to work for them. However, they already rejected me. If I do contact them, which I think I should, how do I finesse this awkward situation? I'm assuming that they're going to be very sensitive about the fact that THEY were rejected and wouldn't appreciate me bringing it up. |

I am in somewhat of a similiar situation. I had an interview with a company about 10 days ago, and things went great. The hiring manager even said that she would probably bring me back for a second interview during the first week of June. However, tonight I found the SAME job posted on a job site. Do I take it as the company's way of saying no thanks?
