i'm wondering if those website job submisison (either job sites or company sites, all of them) ever work...
i have several experiences for the exact same positions; i didn't get any response whatsoever when i applied through one of those on-line thing, but got an interview right away after sending my resume to a particular HR person or something like that.
So,,,, it made me think the companies don't really take a look at resumes forwarded by on-line submission whether it's from their company site or regular job sites....
any idea? especially who works at HR??

On line submissions occasionally work. I've gotten a couple of interviews and serious consideration out of it. However, I'm still unemployed. You can market yourself to someone directly, but many of them don't seem to want to take calls from strangers. I believe STRONGLY in contacting former colleagues, bosses, friends in the industry and networking through them. Best o' luck, Bananaroo!
