Hi there- quick question on appropriate follow-up. Here's my situation- I came across the most incredible job and I believe my background is perfect for it. It's a smaller company (but part of a HUGE intl org) and I met with the head of sales a few weeks ago, two days later met with the CEO of the parent company (who claimed to the head of sales he was very impressed by me), then 2 weeks later was flown down to the offices of the smaller company and met with the CEO, COO, and Head of sales (again). I was briefed of benefits and the ceo left it, "let's discuss what I need to do to get you down here" (I would have to relocate from NY). Unfortunately by the time I reunited with the CEO he had to run and catch a flight. This meeting was on Friday, I sent thank you emails on Monday and today the head of sales said that the CEO was traveling and they haven't had a chance to discuss and to touch base later in the week. Should I be worried about not getting an offer? Any advice would help calm down my ulcer!! Thanks. |

As Capt. HazelMurphy replied to a post above in this thread - just wait a week or two for them to have time to discuss you and complete their interview process. If they've given you a deadline for their decision, then you could call them for a status after the deadline passes.
Good luck.
