My friend has asked me a tough one. They have accepted via e-mail an offer for a contracting position but have not yet received the formal offer letter. Another company is interested in this individual for an employed, not contract, position that has benefits AND better pay as well as broader experience. The contract position uses niche experience that the individual already has.
What should the individual do? If they interview, how do they tell the other contract house/employer? Do they tell them?
