Personally, I never saw an advantage revenue based compensation. From a large company's perspective, they may want to limit this type of income because a salesperson earning too much more than management, may not want to advance into management. The problem with that logic is that the best sales people don't always make the best or even good sales managers. |

comes from assuming that the best workers will make the best managers. It's really just another cookie-cutter assumption.
