Need a bit of help deciding what to do next... |

I had what I felt to be an excellent exploratory interview with one of the VP's of Marketing at a global company I'd really like to work for locally last Wednesday. The interview lasted about two hours, and included the VP introducing me and giving me some one-on-one time with a few other practice heads within the department. Afterwards, I e-mailed thank you letters to the individuals I met with, and a nicer thank you note to the VP who took the time out to meet with me, despite this not being for an immediately open position (basically, I ID'd the guy's name and e-mail, e-mailed him a convincing note introducing myself, my background and interest in working with them - thankfully, it caught his interest). He asked by when I need to decide if I will enroll as a PT MBA student or as a FT MBA student - he knows my preference is to work FT and study PT, and that I'd be very interested (but not overeager) to work with them. So I should know more next month, I hope. My question to the board is: what is my best plan of attack during this and the next month? When should I follow-up with him again? Two weeks after the initial interview? A month after the initial interview? Any advice on how I can best approach the next month or so until one of these potential opportunities actually materializes would be greatly appreciated - this company is 100% what I'm looking for next in my career and definitely a place I could grow with and accomplish my goals at long-term. I got a fabulous impression of their organization, culture, and the folks I met with, and really do want this job. Help??!?!
