Message: I was trying to decipher which one of these unfortunate situations is worse. Leaving an interview knowing it went bad, suffering a brief feeling of embarassment, having a feeling everyone is watching you on your way out (from the manager to the receptionist), your ego's bruised, and you're one hundred percent sure you will not get the job you eagerly anticipated interviewing for over a week or two. However you do know you can quickly cross that company off the list of prospective employers as soon as you get in your car. -OR- Leaving an interview knowing you gave your best, you walk out the building with a smile on your face trying to visualize yourself working there. But as you impatiently wait by the phone for that company to call you, 2 weeks later you receive a letter in the mailbox by them telling you they found a better candidate but they will keep your name in there database for 6 months. And as soon as you crinkle up the letter you don't have a clue to what went wrong during the interview.
