As employees, we should be allowed to think creatively and see more than the black and white. I'm all for following basic rules. But not for inflexible bosses who do not have any regard for their employees and treat them like robots instead of people.
When interviewing or job searching, keep work environment and turnover rates in mind. Ask lots of questions in your interviews. The work environment is just as important if not more important than the job itself.
