Here's an option folks. THe job market in SLC was so bad post olympics, that I was competing with 6 other applicants for a lousy cashiers position at a "whole foods" type grocery store. I've graduated from a respectable college with a degree in finance and not one call back, from retail banks. Fed up with the conditions I decided to look "outside the box"...by about 10,000 miles. In korea and Japan you can make serious money teaching english. 30-50k annualy. New culture, new people, and a globalization of economies. I'm sold. If you have shallow roots like me, pick up and go for a year or two. Stock up money in your savings accounts(since most pay for room and board) and come back to the States with a new perspective, a learned language, and if for nothing else, one hell of a story to tell your friends and family
