I'm glad to know I'm not the only one in this position.
I graduated a year ago with an MBA and the only job I could find was working the front desk at a hotel. After 9/11 they cut back everyone's hours and I had to move on. I now work for family and HATE my job. I wish my university had prepared me for the possibility of not finding a job instead of treating everyone like they were entitled to an incredible job after graduation.
Any suggestions other than temp/contract work? I can't afford to not have a job, but can't do temp/contract when I have a full time job.
I've tried networking and have once again started looking online. The hardest thing for me is finding what jobs I'm qualified for. As a previous message said, I'm either significantly over qualified or significantly under qualified.

This is a great place to vent!
I got an MBA in June 2000-worked for A. Andersen for a year & got canned last June-still looking & NOTHING!
In fact, tomorrow is my last day at my current job-waiting tables! Are you kidding me? what an absolute waste of time-fortunately, i saved about $5000 & live with my girlfriend so i have some time-I am fully resigned to obtaining a professional position at this point-even if I have to choke someone or beg them for the job
Feels good to know I'm not the only one-although I do wish others success in their endeavors.
