Worked for me... I did alot of freelance work and volunteer projects to boost my resume. My volunteer projects quickly turned into paid projects. They didn't pay that much in the beginning. But as I built up experience, I've been able to land myself with a fulltime job and still continue to do freelance work for that little bit of extra cash on the side.
