Can any one offer some resources? I've been out of school for a year, I have a Bachelor's. I'm computer literate, reliable, dependable but I don't have experience. All I've been able to find is a job in retail. Retail! Somebody p lease help me find someplace to start, someplace to find companies willing to give someone a shot. |

Since I do not know what filed you're in, I can just give you some general suggestions. If you're not financially desperate, I suggest you to do some volunteer works at non-for-profit organizations or professional associations (or even for-profit org. if they have some community events that you can volunteer). That way you get more exposure for potential contacts (networking is the best way to land a job in this tough time). Besides, you will be able to keep track of the industrial development. Last but not least, you will develope your skills and gain experience even though you're not working for money.
