Can any one offer some resources? I've been out of school for a year, I have a Bachelor's. I'm computer literate, reliable, dependable but I don't have experience. All I've been able to find is a job in retail. Retail! Somebody p lease help me find someplace to start, someplace to find companies willing to give someone a shot. |

Hmm..my situation is kind of similar. I got a master's degree a year ago, couldn't find anything, worked in retail for the holiday season, and am now working at a university as a staff member. My job is really boring and definitely going nowhere. I am still desperately searching for something else, even an internship or ANYTHING in my field so my career will not be permanently doomed. But I would recommend trying to work at a public college or university as a staff member at least temporarily while you are looking, like I am now, because, at least in my case, we are unionized, so it pays twice as much as my retail job did and I have insurance, which adds enormously to the value of the job for you. As for a permanent halfway decent job with a future, I'll let you know if that ever happens -- meanwhile, I hope somebody else will post with an answer to that and help out both of us!
