I sent an employer a "thank you for job interview" letter confirming the date and time of my interview. After the interview I plan on sending another thank you letter as a follow-up.
My boyfriend says that this practice is ridiculous and outdated and will only serve to position me as an annoying brown-noser.
What do you guys think? I just want to go about this whole job search right. |

I disagree with your other half - a short, succinct thank you letter shows a "touch of class" that will definately put you in a good light. Even if not, it wont' hurt.
