I wouldn't be surprised if most people in Therapy or taking Prozak were not really clinically depressed but are simply in need of something positive such as a job for the unemployed to happen to rescue them from their meloncholy. |

What's that supposed to mean? People just need to have work to keep their minds off the fact there isn't anything more meaninful in their lives than a paycheck or the power of the workplace? What about all of the employed people on Prozac?
Like I said, there are two separate issues here. Some people are simply discouraged about finding work; others find it affecting all areas of their lives. Personally, I see the good side of all of this spare time too -- visiting family, getting in the best physical condition of my adult life, volunteering, etc. I just hope the folks out there can find some balance to the unpleasant side of unemployment.
