What is your problem? I found your response totally inappropriate. The hiring manager does in fact reject the resumes--I've sent many in there that were questionable but I felt the candidate had potential. The hiring manager outlines what he or she wants in a job or candidate.
Let's take this "glorified clerk" out of the picture and see how long the company functions with no benefits, no pay, no staffing, no insurance, no worker's comp, etc. etc. As far as my stupidity, I hold a Ph.D.
I thought this message board was a good opportunity to share ideas with others as I am in a one-deep position. I see I was wrong. It is nothing more than HR bashing. Might I suggest you examine the root of your own problems and stop blaming others. |

Data - obviously you have not read many of these posts - I was warning you that the poster who uses "R2" would call you a clerk and rip you apart for suggesting that hiring managers would reject a resume. He thinks all HR people are idiots and glorified clerks - not me.
