I am an African American male with long hair. My hair texture is rather straight, I am mistaken for Latino often. I wear it in a bun so that recruiter cannot tell how long my hair really is. But I would prefer to wear cornrows. Would this be a silly move?
I have recieved offers from engineering/software companies (IBM, TRW, Raytheon) but have yet to get past the final second round interviews at more corporate firms (Goldman, PWC).
Could my hair be holding me back?
I've been considering cutting my hair for some time now but would rather do it after the summer. Should I do it NOW while I'm still in the interview process of my final undergrad semester?
