Do you mean a non-compete agreement you signed with your FORMER employer, or a new non-compete agreement with your prospective employer?
If you have a non-compete with a former employer, then don't mention it to a prospective employer at all, it's none of their business! A lot of those things aren't even enforceable. Perhaps MOST non-competes aren't legall enforceable, they just make you sign them to scare you. |

My non-compete is with my current employer. It states I an not allowed "to engage in any activities in competition with XXX" (my company) for two years after I leave. My prospective employer is a direct competitor of one of my company's clients. I've heard my non-compete has been challenged and held up in court.
