In Reply To: When in the interviewing process is it appropriate to mention a non-compte agreement? Friends say it's not an issue until I have a job offer, but I don't want to be seen as hiding something.
Message: Do you mean a non-compete agreement you signed with your FORMER employer, or a new non-compete agreement with your prospective employer? If you have a non-compete with a former employer, then don't mention it to a prospective employer at all, it's none of their business! A lot of those things aren't even enforceable. Perhaps MOST non-competes aren't legall enforceable, they just make you sign them to scare you.
