I Graduated school last may with a B.A. In Information Scienc. I've been looking for a job since last summer. i've been umeployed since then. I've tried the news papers, online, calling people, nothings working so far. My bigest problem is probably not having experience, but i have to start some where. I don't know what to do anymore. Wish i had someone to point me in the right direction. Tomorrow i have an appointment for a "one on one career assesment" at Katherine Gibbs. Hopefuly that will help.
If anyone has sugestions (or job offers) feel free. |

You've got to learn to tailor your job search for specific companies and hiring situations, not broad. Would you want to date the girl who says "I don't really know what I want but I'll take any boy, I'm desperate, give me a chance!" or the girl who says "I want you, and here's why." It's no different with jobs and hiring managers. They want to hire someone who knows EXACTLY WHY you are the right person for the job. It's a little tougher since you've just graduated but nonetheless, for each job you apply, you've got to do a lot of homework and put in a lot of effort to find out exactly what they need. Doing anything else is a waste of time and effort. Read this article. http://www.asktheheadhunter.com/basics1.htm
