Get one, then they'll have to leave their name & number, & you can call back after you've researched the company, assembled your notes, collected your thoughts, etc. |

Look into setting up a personal 800 number if your job search takes you outside of your immediate area. There are several Web-based companies that offer this service for free or for a nominal fee (along with email and fax) if cost is an issue.
Understand that these services only *take* messages for you and my have a standard greeting that's dry and unexciting. But, hey, it's free!
