Hello people,
I got a phone call from a manager of a company asking me if I am still looking for jobs(which I am). After that he asked me some technical questions about my field. But since this call was "out of the blue" I was not as prepared as I would have liked to be.I was playing pool at the time!!I could answer most of his questions (which were very basic) with some hesitation and one of them I answered wrong.
Then he asked if I knew anything about this company.Since I had researched this company ,I could tell him quite a few facts about the company and about my relevant experience.
Then he said "You MIGHT expect a call in the coming few days and if we do not have a position , your resume shall be in our database for 1 year".And like a fool I didn't even ask for his email address or phone no. for follow up.The total call duration would be some 10 mins.
And this is like my dream job.I would love to get this job.So I am wondering that did I just miss this golden
opportunity?Did I already cancel my name from a list of potential candidates?
I would give anything to work for this company. And so I am really worried about this, coz I don't get a lot of calls anyways. That's why I am writing this message.
So if any of you experienced people would like to give suggestions, you are very welcome.Thank you. |

Get one, then they'll have to leave their name & number, & you can call back after you've researched the company, assembled your notes, collected your thoughts, etc.
