No one has a crystal ball, no one know if the economy is going to pick up.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. Go about your job search as if the job market will still suck a year from now. |

I think you have a valid point there. Nothing is for sure in this market. However, there are real signs that the economy is improving, as shown by several economic indicators.
I would say that the best way to handle this economy is to be optimistic, but diligent when going about your job search. I can guarantee that this will be a valuable learning experience in hindsight for all of us.
