In Reply To: Big Pinhead & the rest of you HR administrators I have an MBA from a top program and solid experience but noone, and I mean noone wants to pay me to work. Don't you dare tell anyone not to send resumes for whatever reason. You receive a paycheck every month-try getting laid off from a big 5 firm(soon to be out of business) last June and still looking for work. You think logic dictates job searches for people like me?! Are you that clueless? I could care less about anyone but me and my family right now and getting my career going. There is no cost to point-click, & hope luck prevails. Networking as best as possible so if I feel like sending a resume to apply for a tap dancing position, then so be it. Who the hell do you think you are? You HR people don't even make real hiring decisions-you're a bunch of overpaid glamorized secretaries-nothing more. will see ya in 10 years when I'm financially stable and your still plugging your weak job.
Message: OK. Are you over your little fit? I suggest you get a grip on your emotions, and focus your energy where it will do you the most good - networking, researching and establishing/maintaining relationships that will help your job search. Also, this is not the last time your are going to be unemployed. You need to plan ahead for these periods of unemployment throughout your career. It's going to happen. And nobody in "HR" is responsible for your situation. My husband was unemployed for a year before he was successfully able to change careers. I'm no stranger to how difficult this is for you. There are lots of productive and positive things you can be doing besides ranting and raving at HR people. See my "comprehensive..." jobs search list for some suggestions, and good luck to you and all job seekers. Kindest regards...Big Pinhead
