This is another one of your long diatribes where you are telling job applicants to make YOUR job easier.
Sure, it's not easy finding jobs where you don't live. Or if your experience doesn't exactly match job descriptions. Etc.
But you are telling people to try extra hard to NOT submit resumes, which isn't going to help anyone.
And regarding this statement:

What is the poor MBA supposed to do if he/she is unemployed? Just twiddle his thumbs waiting for some consulting company to call? Well all the traditional MBA jobs are not hiring this year.
But the advice here is to leave higher education OFF the resume if you think it will make you overqualified for a job. |

I don't make up the rules or the job reqs. If a hiring manager wants an undergrad + 1-2 years of exp., he/she is not going to look at MBAs with 10 yrs of exp. It just does not work. The more experienced candidate has become accustomed to being in more of a leadership role, they are accustomed to being the "goto" person and the decision-maker. We don't hire them for junior positions because they immediately start challenging their management - trying too hard too soon to claw their way out of the position they so desperately wanted. Plus, the resentment over $$ sets in immediately. They feel taken advantage of from day one because they are making crappy $$ and wasting all of their knowledge and expertise in a low-level position. Clue in, Bob.
