What if the policy underwriter
that worked for the wrong copmpany was unhappy because he wanted to be more conservative and risk adverse than his company and did not want to get involved with things his kess conservative pushed for. Such a candidate could pitch this to the hiring manager but you would have no clue (not that I have any clue abou the insurance industry either). |

I am confused by your posting. If a company (or a hiring manager) has a position where they are looking for someone with a certain skill set and this employee does not have it, then what can they say to convince a manger otherwise. It is too expensive to train employees at certain levels. If this employee lacks the expereince the company is recruiting for, they need to find a company willing to train them. State this in their cover letter, send it to a company and hope for the best. Network at professional societies with people in the same field. That is the best way to get a job...
