Message: 1. Every company's recruiting process is different. Every industry sector has it's own recruiting conventions. Do your research! 2. No one job search tactic works in every situation. Use them all. Mail, Call, whatever. If it doesn't work - move on and try something else, but put 99% of your job search efforts into networking and researching. 3. We pinheads respect polite persistence. E-mail, Fax, Mail, Call whatever - just be polite about it. 4. We sometimes get hundreds of resumes for every job posting. You have a lot of competition. We have the luxury of choosing exactly what we want for many postings, so don't take it personally if you are not selected. 5. Take responsibility for your own career. Make sure you do a great job for every single person you work for and then Keep In Toch With That Person! 6. HR does not make up the job requirements or make the final decisions. Hiring managers do. Hiring managers decide on whom they want to interview and ultimately hire. We work closely with them on every opening. They give us feedback on every resume we send them. We know what they are looking for as a result of their feedback - we dont' make this stuff up ourselves. 7. We Pinheads absolutely love to hire people - we live to give people jobs. We are not here to screen you out - we're here to find you gems who deserve a break and will do a great job for the co. Best of Luck to all job seekers. We pinheads love you.
